Reflection-3:

Teachers are now compelled to assume the role of facilitators to their students in this digital society. As facilitators, together with their students, they must engage in the learning process to better facilitate the effective use of educational resources. They are expected to keep up with the advances of technology, get members of the community involved, and master technological tools in the same manner that their students aptly do. Students are faced with a multitude of channels of resources using digital age media -the Internet, social network, virtual or physical libraries- that teachers must be mindful of. Hence, facilitators have the privilege to help guide their students to the appropriate and knowledge-based content that promotes and supports learning.

Artifacts-3:

This                       artifact offers a wealth of resources and educational topics that facilitators or teachers may gleefully expose their students to when conducting research and learning about innovative and emerging digital tools in the realm of education.

This blog was created as a means to communicate with students, their parents, and other concerned members of the community. Students have the flexibility of asking questions, collaborating and interacting with their peers, whereas parents and other constituents of the community can participate in offering their experiences and professional input to help students in their academic endeavors and journey.

Unit Plan-3:

The 21st Century Learning and the blog artifacts were projects that were required as part of the Master's program in Educational Technology at NJCU and that complied to the ISTE standards. The first artifact complies with Nets-3 (a, b, and d), whereas the blog matches the requirements set forth in standards b and c respectively.
